I'm adding a blog to the site in case people want to find out how to write their own FRA and to some extent manage their own drainage and landscape design.


Who is this for?


The small time developer, maybe someone who has had to apply for planning permission for an extension to their existing property or for an extra granny house in their back garden and have been saddled with a FRA/DMS requirement from the local planning officer. This blog is for you!


Who is this not for?


Big time developers (that's 2 or more houses) should be able to afford the reasonable £1.5-£3k fee for a professional report and advice re their development. If this is you, please get in touch using the query form at the bottom of the home page and I'll provide a fee prop for you on behalf of one of the best engineering companies in the UK.


Are you thinking 'Can I really write my own FRA?'


The answer is yes! Most likely. Probably. And with some guidance, but yes. It's not difficult, it just needs a little knowledge and the 'lingo' that will help with planning.
